What is GenNext?

GenNext® is a program that encourages people in their twenties and thirties to become involved with United Way Halton & Hamilton through giving and volunteering. Working with a Cabinet of volunteers, GenNext creates opportunities for people to support United Way Halton & Hamilton, its funded agencies, and to get involved in the community. The GenNext Cabinet organizes fundraising events, promotes volunteer activities, encourages people to contribute to their community and provides a forum for people to connect.

Our mission is simple. We want to create opportunities for people in their 20s and 30s to roll up their sleeves, get involved in our communities and add to a meaningful dialogue. GenNext will aim to engage volunteers to understand the issues that confront people in our region, to actively connect with and contribute to the community, and to influence positive change through meaningful volunteering and giving opportunities.

The committee will organize fundraising events (including our signature event, Banter with Big Wigs) and to build a next generation of Ambassadors, that create awareness and spearhead workplace campaigns. Enthusiastic? Passionate about making our great region even greater? Then, join GenNext today!

You can make a difference!

You and your peers are future leaders, not only in our workplaces but in our communities. GenNext provides young professionals with opportunities to become engaged in the community and network with each other.
