Season’s Greetings from Brad Park, President and CEO

This time of year carries different meanings for many people. For me, I especially value and enjoy spending time with my two daughters and family. It is also a time of hope when neighbours and communities unite to show local love by helping those in need.

As we come together to say farewell to 2018 and prepare to welcome a new year, it is important to reflect on what we have been able to accomplish. Because of you, local programs are helping more than 200,000 residents access the critical services they need to thrive. Specifically, we have:

  • supported 78,000 youth with afterschool and leadership programs;
  • connected 10,000 individuals with family services and programs;
  • invested in women and girls crisis programs supporting more than 19,000 individuals;
  • provided more than 1,000 youth with extracurricular learning experiences.

Such milestones and achievements can only be accomplished because of people like you, who stand united to advocate for change and showcase generosity through donations and volunteerism.

Together with you, we offer hope to our most vulnerable neighbours. This hope takes the shape of long-term solutions that battle poverty, education inequality, senior isolation, and mental illness, and provide vital support to families and at-risk youth. I personally wish you a healthy and happy 2019.

Brad Park
