David Mack is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of NUVO Network, Halton Region’s largest broadcasting and co-working facility. David’s unique brand of servant leadership allows the NUVO team to operate at top efficiency with the tools and empowerment they need to move the company forward. David strongly believes in investing in people at the grassroots level to establish the bonds necessary to help the organization overcome, thrive and grow in a challenging and ever-changing marketplace.
David’s dedication to team success began while he was in the British Army with an intensive 12-month leadership training course at the Royal Military Academy. While on tour in Afghanistan as a Captain with the Black Watch, he organized and contributed to a collaborative book, written about his regiment’s time overseas as an aviation assault battle group.
David translated his military experience for a move into the business world and earned an MBA from Queen’s University in 2011. He spent two years as a Senior Project Manager at RBC Capital Markets, a few more years as a Director in early stage technology ventures, and later consulted in a variety of industries and functional areas including leadership and resilience. David’s article “From the Battlefield to the Boardroom: Tracking Success Back to Resilience” was featured in the Globe and Mail in 2017.
David is proud of his Scottish heritage and can be found wearing a kilt while drinking whisky and eating haggis on Robbie Burns Day. In his spare time, David loves hiking with his beloved French Bulldog, Islay.
