Colin is an experienced finance leader and strategic business partner. In his current role as Vice President, Finance & Operations he will utilize his expertise in the areas of finance, process improvement and system implementations to ensure efficiency in the supporting processes of United Way Halton & Hamilton.

In his previous roles, Colin was the Senior Director, Corporate Services for Canadian Mental Health Association Peel Dufferin, leading the finance and operations teams through a period of significant growth and change over his 5+ years there. Prior to joining the NFP sector, he was the Finance Leader for GE Canada’s $30M Ultrasound division and GE USA’s $80M Point of Care division. Colin is passionate about making continuous improvements and earned his Executive Green Belt certification in 2021 from KPMG.

Colin is a CPA, CA who studied Economics in his undergrad at McMaster University and completed a Masters in Management & Professional Accounting from the University of Toronto. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and two young boys, playing baseball and golfing, and working on projects around the house.

Recognized as one of the largest United Way bodies in Canada, Jennifer leads the Resource Development team, focused on collective impact and performance driven execution across annual $10M+ campaigns. She is responsible for leading the transformation of revenue diversification, corporate philanthropy, donor engagement, special gift initiatives, and digital strategy.

A community advocate and business leader with over 15 years’ experience thinking strategically, assuming leadership in highly visible situations, and building relationships at all levels, Jennifer connects stakeholder’s philanthropic aspirations into community impact across multiple donor channels and platforms.

Uniting the fundraising efforts of diverse communities towards a shared impact, Jennifer annually leads a volunteer Campaign Cabinet of senior business leaders to ignite action, supporting service delivery for more than 200,000 local residents.

Committed to enhancing the effectiveness of the United Way movement, Jennifer has served in many leadership roles at both regional and national levels, including as an experienced presenter through national conferences, training of Resource Development Fundamentals, participation in UWCC Leaders Networks, and facilitation of Campaign Analytic programs in communities across Canada since 2007.

Prior to United Way, Jennifer started her career with leadership roles within Municipal Community Services.

Through local community volunteer work, Jennifer serves on the fundraising executive and Cambridge Food Bank Board of Directors. Jennifer is an active Rotarian and Paul Harris member. In addition to various Rotary Board positions since 2006, Jennifer served 5 years on a regional Rotary Executive inspiring future business and entrepreneurial leaders.

Jennifer earned an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies & Sociology with a minor in Women’s Studies, and studied Public Relations abroad at the University of Canberra, Australia. She strongly believes a community is measured by how the most vulnerable are treated. Her interests are numerous and varied: world travel, yoga and the Arts.

Brad has been a part of the United Way movement for over 20 years. His dedication to UW originated with United Way of Cambridge and North Dumfries, then to United Way Brant and finally, his most recent position at United Way Oakville. Now, with the newly amalgamated United Way Halton & Hamilton, Brad has accepted the role of Chief Executive Officer; a fitting role as Brad was previously the National Trainer for United Way Canada Resource Development for the past 4 years.  A graduate from the University of Guelph, Brad received his BA in Management and Economics.   In the community, Brad is an active member of the Random Act of Kindness Committee through the Oakville Community Foundation, YMCA Peace Medallion committee, Halton Poverty Round Table, Smart Start Halton committee, and Chair of the Halton Community Door project.  When he’s not keeping healthy and active, you can find him spending time with his two daughters or hitting the road to catch a concert as he is a staunch music enthusiast, his favourite band? Pearl Jam!

Shawna has a passion for the not-for-profit field, spending the majority of her career supporting her community in this sector.

An experienced Executive, Shawna was most recently with the Burlington Chamber of Commerce where she held the role of Vice President of Operations. Prior to her time with the Chamber, she was the Executive Director for Durham Sustain Ability, a not-for-profit and social enterprise that supports individuals, organizations and communities build a path towards a sustainable future. Even further, Shawna worked for Big Brothers Big Sisters and United Way Oakville in 2000.

As VP, Community Impact, Shawna applies an innovative lens to ensure the organization is positioned to deliver on its current strategic directions and planning. Shawna will apply a cross-functional approach to develop and deliver strategies to achieve focused and measurable results via fostering long-term partnerships with community stakeholders, government and agencies.

Kristen is a highly experienced marketing and communications professional with a strong presence in the Halton community for the past decade. As the Vice President of Marketing and Communications, she is responsible for developing and implementing the organization’s marketing and communications strategy and campaign plans. Kristen ensures that these efforts align with the organization’s goals and priorities.

In her previous roles, Kristen has worked in the high-tech, consulting, and professional services sectors. Most recently, she served as the Global Marketing Leader for the Travel industry at Accenture. Prior to that, Kristen spent over 9 years at EY Canada, where she was the Associate Director for Service Lines and Solutions Marketing. During her time at EY, Kristen successfully executed integrated marketing campaigns for their Tax, Assurance, Transactions, and Consulting service lines.

With more than 17 years of marketing experience, Kristen thrives on building strong brand awareness, achieving outstanding results, and fostering meaningful relationships. She is enthusiastic about utilizing her expertise in digital marketing and technology solutions to make a significant impact on the local community through her work at United Way Halton & Hamilton.
