As temperatures in Hamilton continue to dip below the freezing mark, the mercury is rising on the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board’s United Way employee fundraising campaign which wrapped up this week with a record-breaking tally of $99,795.
Director of Education David Hansen made the announcement at St. Bernadette Catholic Elementary School on January 17 at a staff pizza party to celebrate the “most creative school campaign.”
This year’s system goal was $92,000. Over the past several years, the board has raised between $88,000 and $91,000 through a 50/50 split of employee donations and special events.
