Company of Women, United Way Halton & Hamilton Bring Women Leaders Together

Burlington, ONTARIO – Company of Women hosted a successful fundraising event that raised over $5,000 for United Way Halton & Hamilton.

The event focused on women leaders with an emphasis on how to overcome mental health and live a more meaningful life.

Distinguished guest speakers for Women Changing the World event include Jody Steinhauer, Keka DasGupta and Shawna Percy.

“Our daily lives have many twists and turns, up and downs, but at the end of the day, we have to focus on the positives and continue to be grateful for the small victories,” said Anne Day, Founder of Company of Women. “This speakers’ event will include key solutions from high regarded women leaders on managing mental health and changing the status quo and living a life of gratitude and success.”

All proceeds from the fundraising event will go towards United Way Halton & Hamilton to help with women centric programs.

“It’s a pleasure to be part of this event and present on my positive experiences I’ve had with United Way and their partnering agencies. The services I accessed changed my life,” said Maria Estrada, UWHH Impact Speaker. “They started my road to recovery and encouraged me to specialize in mental health and addition and to give back to my community.”

Diane Nelson, UWHH Board Director, said partnering with Company of Women for this event highlights how collaboration is essential for success.

“We are very proud of this partnership and thank Company of Women for hosting a fundraising event for UWHH,” said Nelson. “Working together for a common goal is how we move forward and bring awareness to the many issues around us.”
