Kate is a proud Miltonian! She believes that working for United Way is an absolute privilege. She knows that the non-profit sector is where she belongs. Kate says, “I have had the opportunity to work my entire career in not for profit. I started out at a smaller local agency that was funded by United Way, and it was then that I realized the immense value of this partnership and focused my career in that direction. I started by volunteering for my local United Way, and I was able to turn that passion into a career.” In addition to her CFRE Designation and a certificate in Business from Sheridan College, Kate has a degree in Social Development Studies from the University of Waterloo. What keeps her busy outside of the office? Her smart, spunky, stubborn son who just happens to be the light of her life. To help keep up with him she gives in to her slight Starbucks addiction.
